FEMALE officers and staff of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and departments under it, attended a talk yesterday titled “Ada Apa Dengan Ramadhan?” at the MoF’s theatre hall.
The lecture was delivered by a speaker from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Dr Lilly Suzana Hj Shamsu who highlighted the benefits of fasting during the month of Ramadhan.
“Ramadhan is ibadat (acts of worship) that is obligatory. Other obligatory acts of worship include the five daily solat (prayers) and performing Haj.”

THE Brunei Government continues to make significant reforms to the local business environment in order to boost the country’s economic production and growth, said Zulfadli bin Abu Bakar, a Special Duties Officer from the Ease of Doing Business Unit under the Prime Minister’s Office.
Zulfadli was giving a briefing to a group of government officers, village heads, students and business entrepreneurs yesterday during the opening of an ‘Ease of Doing Business’ roadshow at the Ministry of Finance, which will run until June 4.

Ministry of Finance is organising a roadshow on Ease of Doing Business on the 1, 2 and 4 June 2016 at the Ministry of Finance Building from 8:30 am until 4.00 pm.
The objective of this roadshow is to create public awareness and better understanding about the reforms that Ministry of Finance has implemented to support the ease of doing business in areas such as Trading Across Borders, Protecting Minority Investors, Paying Taxes, Resolving Insolvency and Starting a Business.
