
Since the issuance of its own currency, Brunei Currency and Monetary Board has been engaging well-established overseas Printers and Mints in the production of the Brunei notes and coins.
As at 31st December 2007, the total currency in circulation stood at B$ 848.65 million which comprised of B$818.51 million in notes and B$30.14 million in coins.
In the case of discovery or possession of any mutilated Brunei notes and coins, the public may present them to any commercial banks or the Brunei Currency and Monetary Board for assessment of value and exchange.
