About Us

Financial Institutions Division (FID) was established in 1993, as a division under the Ministry of Finance  responsible for the supervision of financial institutions. As an integrated supervisor, FID also supervises international financial instutions registered with the Brunei International Financial Centre (BIFC).  Essentially, the role of FID is to protect the public interests as well as the financial institutions themselves in order to safeguard the integrity and stability of the financial sector.
