It is my great pleasure to welcome our visitors to the website of the Royal Customs and Excise Department(RCED). I sincerely hope that the information available in the website would give more understanding and knowledge on what our roles and responsibilities are. Since its inception more than 100 years ago in 1906, RCED has embarked on a number of initiatives in response to national, regional and global challenges. In order to carry out our duties and responsibilities more efficiently and effectively, our Department has developed its visions and missions. They are in line with our main functions of contributing to the efforts of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to protect our national interest, enforcing the Customs and Excise rules and regulations, facilitating legitimate trade and collecting revenue. At this juncture, I would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation and thanks to our customers and partners for their continuous support and cooperation which helps to smoothen our daily tasks especially in providing better services.
