            There are 5 units under the Revenue Division, namely: 

            1. Operation and Assessment Unit

            2. Compliance and Enforcement Unit

            3. Corporate and Technical Services Unit

            4. Legal and Policy Analysis Unit

            5. Field Audit Unit


          Operation and Assessment Unit

This Unit is responsible for the assessment and collection of Income Tax, Stamp Duty and Withholding Tax.

Compliance and Enforcement Unit

This Unit was created to enhance enforcement of tax collection and to promote voluntary compliance among      taxpayers in the filing and payment of tax.

Corporate and Technical Services Unit

This Unit is responsible for:

  • The registration of companies;
  • the administration of human resource and development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of the Division;
  • the collection of data for statistics, payment and refund process and in ensuring the operation of our taxpayer's services;
  • Conducting negotiations on Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreements (DTA) and Bilateral Investment Treaties (BIT), establishing international relations, participating in Investment Incentive Committee and processing and issuing license for authorised auditors to perform duties under Companies Act (Chapter 39).

Legal and Policy Analysis Unit

This Unit is responsible for:

the formulation of tax policies and tax laws;

providing legal advice on tax matters and dealing with tax delinquent cases.

Field Audit Unit

This Unit is responsible for:

  • auditing company's account at their premises;
  • collecting intelligence and preventing tax evasion through surveillance and investigation.
