Administration Section consists of 5 units:

1. ADMINISTRATION UNIT

Duties and responsibilities of this unit are:

  • Administrating Units in Treasury Department
  • Performing Annual appraisals for officers and staffs
  • Dealing with budget management affairs of the department
  • Processing application forms for receipts and stationeries

2. PAYROLL AND E-BAR UNIT

Duties and responsibilities of this unit are:

  • Processing / Certifying Efficiency Bar for government’s officers and staff before submitting to The Public Services Department
  • Processing / verifying new information or changes to salary and bonus data of officers and staff of Treasury Department through a Computerised Payroll System
  • Approving Daily Rated Time Report for daily rated staffs of Treasury Department through TAFIS System
  • Preparing Budget Estimates of Treasury Department


3. AUDIT UNIT

Duties and responsibilities of this unit are:

  • Coordinating the findings in The Audit Report from Auditor General with all government ministries / departments to ensure that all Audit findings are answered
  • Monitoring settlement of all overpayments of salary, allowances and other payments
  • Monitoring the recovery of arrears of departments' revenues 
  • Liasing with Audit Department and Museum Department for application of documents & properties (of all ministries / departments) to be destroyed or sent to Government Archives
  • Arrange representatives from Treasury Department to witness the write-off of government documents & properties after approval from the Write-Off Committee, Ministry of Finance 
  • Arrange surprise visits (spot checks) to government ministries / departments to ensure Financial Regulations are enforced
  • Recommendations to The Ministry of Finance for the authorisation of the abandonment of irrecovable revenues, debts and overpayments
  • Attends to internal audit function of Treasury Department

 

4. CUSTOMER SERVICES AND TRAINING UNIT

Duties and responsibilities of this unit are:

  1. Maintaining Customers Services Level by monitoring the performance of every  counter services of this Department
  2. Monitoring Customers Services Level through Suggestion Box and Complaints from the public 
  3. Attending to the training needs of this department's officers / staff
  4. Co-ordinating briefing of Financial Regulation requested by government ministries / deprtments
  5. Scheduling attachment / orientation for public officers and students in Treasury Department


5. COMPUTER UNIT 


Duties and responsibilities of this unit are:

  1. Storing, processing and printing salary data of Government Officers / Staff  
  2. Monitoring and maintaining General Payroll System and Stand Alone System of Treasury Department
  3. Monitoring computer needs for Treasury Department
