Financial Services Section consists of 4 units: 

1. LEAVE ALLOWANCE AND PASSAGE UNIT

Duties and resposibilities of this unit are:

  • Processing application for Leave and Passage Allowance for Local Officers 

        i)   3 Years Leave Allowance
        ii)  10 Years Passage Allowance
        iii)  Chidren Concession Passage

  • Processing application for Air Passage for Contract Officers

         i)   Inward Passage
        
ii) Mid-term Contract Passage
        
iii) Homeward Passage
        
iv)Children Concession Passage
        
v) Voyage Allowance
        
vi) Excess Baggage by Air
        
vii) Sea Freight

  • Issuing Air Warrant

        i) Arranging air ticket and excess baggage for government officers attending
        meeting and conferences abroad

        ii) Arranging air ticket for GRU, TEMD and BLP personnels      

  • Processing invoices for payment to Travel Agencies and Shipping Companies


2. EDUCATION ALLOWANCE UNIT

Duties and responsibilities of this unit are:

  • Processing and approving claim for education allowance in accordance with circular instructions
  • Processing payment of approved education allowance through General Payroll System
  • Collecting overpayments of Education Allowance 


3. CONVEYANCE LOAN AND FCA UNIT

Duties and responsibilities of this unit are:

  • Processing application for conveyance advances
  • Processing conveyance advances claim 
  • Processing application for changing of registration number
  • Processing application for fixed mileage or conveyance allowancein accordance to commencing circulars
  • Processing application of Road Tax and License Exemption 

4. HOUSING LOAN UNIT

Duties and responsibilities of this unit are:

  • Processing application for Housing Loan
  • Processing repayment for house claim / sale and purchase of land and house from the contractor, developer and others under Housing Loan
  • Making deduction from salary for repaying housing loan through TAFIS
  • Releasing land mortgage on full settlement of the Housing Loan granted
  • Considering application for lending the original land grant pledged to the Government for the following purposes:

        i)   Applying for land division
        
ii)  Applying for land transfer
        
iii) Applying for registration of wife/husband's name to the land grant for the purpose
             of joint housing loan
        
iv) Continuing the duration period of land
        
v)  Correcting name in the grant
        
vi) Changing rate of Land Tax
