Bandar Seri Begawan, 25 January 2011 - E-Government National Centre (EGNC) yesterday continued on their e-Government roadshow to Ministries at Dewan Theater, Ministry of Finance.
The guest of honor was Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohd Roselan Bin Haji Mohd Daud, Permanent Secretary (Policy), Ministry of Finance. Also in attendance was Yang Mulia Haji Azhar Bin Haji Ahmad, Deputy Permanent Secretary (IT and e-Government) and Overall Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO), Prime Minister's Office.
The roadshow is one of the promotional activities conducted by E-Government National Centre (EGNC) to create awareness on the e-Government Strategic Plan 2009-2014, the role of Ministries and the role of EGNC in the success factors of implementing the e-Government initiatives.
The roadshow began with an opening remark by Yang Mulia Awang Hj Ridzuan Bin Hj Ahmad Acting Chief Informtion Officer (CIO) of Ministry of Finance.
A special presentation was done by the Director of EGNC, Yang Mulia Awang Adi Shamsul Bin Hj Sabli, where he touched on e-Government Strategic Plan 2009-2014, roles and function of EGNC and role and responsibility of seconded EGNC officers to Ministries and Departments. Another presentation was also presented by Civil Service Institute regarding ICT Recruitment which shares with the audience the e-Government program related to training. The CTO also highlights on the e-Government 'flagship projects'.
After the presentation, a mini e-Government exhibition was held at the Ministry was held at the Ministry of Finance lobby which displayed:
- - EGNC Core Services,
- - IT Central Procurement,
- - IT Human Resources, and
- - IT Operations
- - Microsoft Enterprise Agreement
- - Technical Inspection Report and
- - Usage of GEMS by Unit Gems, Jabatan Perdana Menteri
The roadshow was also attended by Head of Departments, Senior Officers, Officers and Staff of Ministry of Finance and the departments below it.
