Wednesday 9 November 2011– Ministry of Finance sacrificed eight cattles and four goats for Korban and Aqiqah in commemorating the Hari Raya Aidiladha Celebration. Her Royal Highness Princess Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah attended the ceremony to present the sacrificial meat to 83 orphans from Mukim Berakas A and B. Among those who attended the event which was held at the ministry’s lobby concourse were Acting Permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Head of Departments, Directors, officials and staff of the Ministry of Finance. To end the ceremony, the recitation of Doa Selamat was read by Pehin Khatib Hj Suhaili bin Haji Metali Al-Hafiz. This year’s Korban and Aqiqah ceremony was organised by the Royal Customs and Excise Department.
