Customers and clients are the main priority for the Ministry of Finance as they launched their newlook website and Customer Care Day at their headquarters at Commonwealth Drive, Jalan Kebangsaan, yesterday.
With the theme "Customers, our main priority" the Customer Care campaign which runs until Thursday will be looking to showcase the services provided by the Ministry of Finance and all the departments under it.
Yesterday also saw the launching of the ministry's revamped website by the second Minister of Finance, Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Hj Abd Rahman Hj Ibrahim.
The website's new look and feel offers a far more user friendly and informative format compared to the previous version which was a prototype that had undergone several trials.
"Through the exhibits on hand, the public will be able to take the opportunity to learn about a variety of facilities and services which are available and provided by the ministry and its departments, they can also utilise the website which will be launched today," the minister said.
The end user may now surf the website which the ministry plans to update in order to provide content such as up to date news and also the client charter agreements, which highlights the specific service deliveries rendered by the departments within the ministry.
For those who wish to obtain an in-depth view of the field of work carried out by the departments of the Ministry of Finance, are encouraged to attend the exhibits which will have specific content related to the various departments' field of expertise.
A special exhibition on currency, launched previously by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, is also being held.
The exhibit will shed light on the history and growth of Brunei's currency, with rare collection of coins and notes, both old and new, and also the commemorative notes issued by the Brunei Currency and Monetary Board.
The gallery is located at the lower level of the Currency and Monetary Board building adjacent to the Ministry of Finance building.
